How to reorder or delete PDF pages
- Drop a PDF on the page or click Choose file.
- Drag thumbnails into place, or use ← → 🗑 ⧉ under each page.
- Click Save PDF and download the result.
What you can do here
Every page appears as a thumbnail. Drag one to a new spot, or use the small buttons below it: ← and → move it one place, 🗑 marks it for deletion (it stays greyed out, so you can still undo with ↺), and ⧉ inserts a copy right after it. Reverse order flips the whole document, which fixes a stack that was scanned last page first.
Nothing is applied until you press Save PDF, and the original file on your device is never touched. You always get a new file.
What we measured
We reordered and trimmed a 100-page test PDF (moved several pages, deleted five, duplicated one) and saved it in Chrome on a 4-core test computer. Saving took 0.04 seconds. Drawing thumbnails for all 100 pages took 1.97 seconds. The tool draws each one only when it scrolls into view and reuses it while you drag, so long files stay smooth.
Saved pages are copies of the originals, not screenshots, so text stays searchable and the file doesn’t grow from re-encoding.
When people use it
Scanned contracts with page 2 at the end, a report where the appendix should come before the references, a blank page left by the scanner after every sheet, a cover page that needs to appear twice. These are small fixes that usually mean opening a paid PDF editor.
If pages are upside down or sideways, fix them with Rotate & Crop PDF. To add pages from another document, put the files together with Merge PDF first and organize the result here.
Good to know
- Password-protected PDFs can’t be opened.
- Bookmarks pointing at deleted pages are removed; links inside pages keep working only if their target page is kept.
- Editing a digitally signed PDF invalidates the signature.
- Very large documents (several hundred pages) work, but on a phone it’s easier to split them first with Split PDF.
Frequently asked questions
Does this change my original file?
No. Your original stays exactly as it was. The tool builds a new PDF in memory and you download it as a separate file.
Is the PDF uploaded?
No. Thumbnails are drawn with PDF.js and the new file is assembled with pdf-lib, both inside your browser.
Can I undo a deletion?
Yes. Deleted pages stay visible in grey until you save. Press ↺ under the page to bring it back, or Reset to start over.
Can I move pages on a touchscreen?
Yes. Dragging works with a mouse, and the ← → buttons under each page work everywhere, including phones and keyboards.
