Your files stay on your device
The tools process files and text inside your browser. PDFs, images, text you paste, passwords you generate and QR code contents are not uploaded to us or anyone else. When you close the tab they are gone, unless you saved a result.
Stored in your browser only
A few conveniences are saved in your browser’s local storage on your device. We cannot read them, and you can clear them at any time in your browser settings.
dk.recent: the last tools you opened, shown on the home page.dk.sym: symbols you recently copied in the special characters tool.dk.tz: the cities you chose in the time zone converter.dk.wheel: the entries on your spinning wheel.dk.typing.: your best typing test score.dk.wc(session storage, cleared when you close the tab): the text in the word counter, so it survives a reload.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-0J7SVBFK7S) to understand how the site is used. It sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_* and collects pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and events such as starting or finishing a tool, the file format of a download (for example “pdf”) and words typed into the site’s tool search. File names and file contents are never sent. Google’s use of this data is described at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can opt out with the browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
The site shows ads served by Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-9374713455776239).
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google’s My Ad Center (https://myadcenter.google.com) or, for some other vendors, at https://www.aboutads.info/choices.
If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they won’t be based on your browsing.
Hosting logs
The site is delivered through Amazon Web Services (Amazon S3 and CloudFront). Like any web server, it may record standard technical data such as IP address, time, requested address and browser type to deliver pages and protect against abuse.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Your choices and rights
You can block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser, use the opt-out links above, or use a content blocker. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data; because we hold almost none ourselves, most requests are best directed to Google through the links above.
