Text tools

Count, compare and decorate text. What you type stays in your browser.

3 tools

Which tool should you use?

  • How long is it? Word & Character Counter counts words, characters with and without spaces, sentences and reading time, and handles Korean, Japanese and Chinese correctly.
  • What changed between two versions? Text & Code Diff Checker highlights added and removed lines and words side by side.
  • You need a symbol that isn’t on your keyboard, like ©, →, ½ or ✓, or stylised letters for a bio: Special Characters & Fancy Text.

Typical workflows

Writers often use the first two together: check a draft against a word limit, then compare it with the edited version to see what an editor changed. Symbols you copy are remembered in a “recent” row on this device so the ones you use often are one tap away.

Frequently asked questions

Is my text sent anywhere?

No. Counting and comparing happen in the page itself, which is why they work instantly even on long documents.

Do fancy letters work everywhere?

They are real Unicode characters, so they paste into most apps. Screen readers may read them oddly, and some can’t be found by search, so keep them for decoration.
